KSA: Over 1.5 Million Pilgrims Arrive in the Holy Land So Far

The Saudi General Directorate of Passports announced today, Friday, that over 1.5 million pilgrims have arrived in the Holy Land so far.

The Director General of Saudi Passports, Lieutenant General Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, stated in press remarks carried by the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that "the number of pilgrims arriving to perform Hajj has exceeded 1.5 million to date."

He explained that "more than 1.4 million pilgrims arrived via air ports, while the number arriving via land ports reached approximately 45,000, and about 6,000 pilgrims arrived via sea ports."

Earlier, the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, announced that the number of pilgrims arriving in the Kingdom to perform Hajj had exceeded 860,000 before the end of the arrival season.
