The Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, has emphasized the need to ensure the full readiness of all branches of the Counter-Terrorism Service.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Defence and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Yarallah met with the Head of the Counter-Terrorism Service, Lieutenant General Karim Aboud Al-Tamimi, where they discussed the security situation in the country.
The Chief of Staff underscored the importance of consolidating stability and ensuring the operational readiness of Counter-Terrorism Service units in terms of training and equipment, stressing the need for high-level coordination between relevant security agencies amid regional developments.
He praised the significant efforts of Counter-Terrorism Service personnel and commended the coordination and cooperation among security forces across various operational sectors.
For his part, the Head of the Counter-Terrorism Service reviewed the latest field developments and operational achievements in pursuing terrorist cells, affirming the forces’ readiness and continued commitment to maintaining security and stability in the country.
