The Iraqi government expressed its strong condemnation on Tuesday of the recent drone attacks targeting the UAE while emphasizing the importance of regional and international cooperation.
Government spokesperson Bassem al-Awadi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The government expresses its strong condemnation of the recent drone attacks targeting the UAE,” affirming its “full support for efforts to establish security and stability in the region.”
“In this regard, the government reiterates its full commitment to maintaining the distinguished fraternal relations and productive partnership with the UAE and to continuing the approach of constructive cooperation in all matters that serve the interests of joint Arab action and the higher interests of both Iraq and the UAE,” Al-Awadi added.
“We also stress the importance of effective regional and international cooperation to prevent any escalation or harm to the stability of the region or any targeting of the safety and sovereignty of brotherly and friendly countries,” Al-Awadi continued.
