The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced today, Monday, the conclusion of a security operation between the provinces of Salah al-Din and Anbar.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the PMF said, that "Salah al-Din Operations Command of the PMF concluded a large-scale security operation that began last Saturday between the provinces of Salah al-Din and Anbar."
He added, "The operation was carried out by a force from Salah al-Din Operations and Brigades (6, 31, 32, and 51) within the Operations Command, with the participation of the supporting directorates in the Salah al-Din axis."
According to the statement "the operation came within the framework of proactive security plans aimed at securing desert areas and enhancing field deployment, in order to contribute to the sustainability of stability and the enforcement of the rule of law."
