Tasnim News Agency, quoting an official close to the Iranian negotiating team, reported on Monday that the United States continues to make unrealistic demands.
The agency quoted the official as saying, “Despite Washington’s amendments to its proposal, fundamental disagreements remain.”
He added, “The return of frozen Iranian funds is a fundamental demand, and promises written on paper are useless.”
The source, according to the agency, emphasized that “Iran will not abandon its principled positions regarding ending the war,” adding that “the United States continues to make unrealistic demands.”
He clarified that "Iran will not back down from its demands regarding ending the conflict, restoring all frozen Iranian assets, and demanding compensation for US military actions."
He explained that “Iran has refused to link any agreement to end the war to nuclear commitments, considering US nuclear demands to be used as political pretexts.”
