Secretary-General of Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement Sheikh Qais al-Khazali and Secretary-General of the Badr Organization Hadi al-Ameri emphasized the need to unify national visions in order to overcome current challenges.
In a statement issued by Al-Khazali’s media office and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the statement said that Sheikh Qais al-Khazali received Hadi al-Ameri at his office in Baghdad on Sunday. The meeting reviewed the latest political developments in the country and discussed ongoing efforts to complete constitutional obligations.
The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening political and security stability during this sensitive phase, and the need to align positions among national forces to overcome current challenges in a manner that serves the higher interests of the country. They also discussed understandings related to the formation of the new cabinet, stressing the need to expedite its completion based on criteria of competence, integrity, and the ability to implement the government’s development program.
They further underscored that the next government should be a service-oriented administration capable of improving economic and infrastructure conditions and delivering essential public services that directly affect the lives of Iraqi citizens.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued dialogue and coordination with other political partners to remove obstacles, support steps that ensure the safeguarding of national sovereignty, and achieve comprehensive development.
