Al-Amiri, Al-Tamimi Discuss the Water Sector and Ensuring Water Supply for the Provinces

Badr Organization Secretary-General Hadi al-Amiri and Minister of Water Resources Muthanna al-Tamimi discussed the current state of the water sector and ways to improve it and ensure the water needs of the provinces are met.

The Badr Organization's media office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Badr Organization Secretary-General Hadi al-Amiri received the new Minister of Water Resources, Muthanna al-Tamimi, at his office in Baghdad."

According to the statement, al-Amiri congratulated the minister on assuming his duties, wishing him success in managing the water resources sector and addressing the associated challenges.

"The meeting addressed the current state of the water sector in the country and ways to improve it, along with discussing measures to strengthen water management and ensure the water needs of the provinces are met."

"The importance of developing relations and understandings with upstream countries in a way that contributes to protecting Iraq's water rights and enhancing joint cooperation on this vital issue."
