PM Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi received on Sunday a phone call from the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, discussing the importance of strengthening prospects for constructive cooperation in various fields.
El-Sisi extended his congratulations on the occasion of Al-Zaidi’s government gaining the confidence of the Parliament and the formation of the new government, according to a statement by the PM Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
During the call, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Both sides emphasized “the importance of expanding avenues of constructive cooperation across various sectors,” and agreed “to exchange visits in a manner that further strengthens bilateral relations, serves mutual interests, and advances the interests of the two brotherly peoples.”
