US officials confirmed on Sunday that President Donald Trump wants a deal to end the war with Iran.
"Trump wants a deal to end the war, but Iran's rejection of many of his demands and its refusal to make meaningful concessions regarding its nuclear program has put the military option back on the table," a website quoted US officials.
The Officials added that "Trump is expected to hold a meeting in the Situation Room with his national security team on Tuesday to discuss military options."
Axios reported that President Trump emphasized that "time is running out for Iran," warning that "if the Iranian regime does not present a better offer for a deal, they will be hit much harder."
"I still believe Iran wants a deal, and I am waiting for them to send an updated proposal," Trump added.
