The Holy Abbasid Shrine announced on Sunday the launch of its second aid convoy to the Iranian people.
“From the land of Karbala of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), and from the vicinity of his brother, Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), the epitome of loyalty and brotherhood, another convoy of humanitarian, relief, and medical aid has set out from the Holy Abbasid Shrine to the Iranian people. This is a living embodiment from the Holy Shrine of the values of our master and patron, Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), in support, brotherhood, and loyalty,” said the Secretary-General of the Holy Abbasid Shrine, Mustafa Murtadha Al Dhiaa Al-Din, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
He added, “The Holy Abbasid Shrine, in providing this assistance, believes that it is not a favor, but rather a moral duty and a humanitarian message dictated to us by the eternal heavenly values and the principles of our true religion, and the wise approach of our supreme religious authority, may Allah prolong the shadow of its Sayyid, the Sayyid of Najaf, our Imam, Sayyid Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani (may Allah protect him), who advised us on the principle of human solidarity, within its merciful approach, which the representative of the religious authority, Sayyid Ahmed al-Safi (may his glory last), has always directed us to, and urged us to make it within the vision of the Holy Abbasid Shrine in consolidating the values of compassion among peoples.”
