Faihan supports efforts to document mass grave crimes

The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Adnan Faihan Al-Dulaimi, affirmed on Saturday his support for government efforts aimed at documenting the mass grave crimes as genocide crimes.

“The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Adnan Faihan Al-Dulaimi, commemorated the National Day of Mass Graves,” A statement issued by the media office of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “this occasion represents a national commemoration of the victims of the crimes and violations committed by the defunct dictatorial regime against the Iraqi people.”

"The legislative authority is following up on the implementation of the Martyrs Foundation Law in a way that ensures justice for the victims' families and preserves their rights, as well as supporting governmental efforts aimed at documenting the crimes of mass graves as crimes of genocide,” He added.
