U.S. President Donald Trump concluded his visit to China on Friday and departed for the United States, according to China Central Television (CCTV).
The three-day visit to China featured a busy schedule of meetings and discussions. During the trip, Trump held expanded and smaller-format talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, during which the two sides discussed a range of bilateral and international issues, including the Ukraine crisis and the conflict between the United States and Iran.
Trump said Washington and Beijing’s positions are largely aligned on the Iranian file, adding that he shares Xi’s desire to end the armed confrontation.
He also described the trade agreements reached between the two countries as “great deals,” noting that China is investing hundreds of billions of dollars in U.S. companies and is reportedly planning to order 200 Boeing aircraft.
For its part, China’s Foreign Ministry said the visit helped strengthen mutual trust between the two leaderships, describing it as an important step in the development of U.S.-China relations.
The visit comes amid complex geopolitical dynamics, as both powers seek to manage strategic differences while maintaining dialogue on areas of shared interest, particularly trade, investment, and international security.
