The president of the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq, Judge Faiq Zidan, on Thursday congratulated the government on winning parliamentary confidence and completing the constitutional requirements within the set deadlines, saying the step strengthens institutional stability and reinforces the constitutional process in the country.
Zidan praised the role of the Parliament in carrying out its constitutional duties in a way that serves the public interest and meets citizens’ aspirations.
Earlier on Thursday, parliament voted to grant confidence to the government of Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi and its ministerial program.
