The President of the Republic, Nizar Amedi, affirmed today, Thursday, the importance of developing relations with France and expanding bilateral cooperation horizons.
The Media Department of the Presidency of the Republic stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the President of the Republic, Nizar Amedi, received at the Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad , the Ambassador of the French Republic to Iraq, Patrick Durel, who extended congratulations to Amedi on the occasion of assuming the office of President of the Republic, wishing him success in performing his duties and the Iraqi people continuous stability and prosperity."
The statement explained that "during the meeting, bilateral relations between Iraq and France and ways to enhance joint cooperation in various fields were discussed."
The President of the Republic emphasized "the importance of developing relations with France and expanding bilateral cooperation horizons," praising "its supportive positions for Iraq in various fields."
