Deputy Speaker of Parliament Farhad Amin Al-Atroushi received the head of the Iraqi Media Network, Karim Hammadi, on Wednesday, praising the network's efforts in professionally disseminating information and news.
During the meeting, they discussed ways “to develop mechanisms for cooperation and joint coordination between the legislative body and the network, and the importance of continuing to support media institutions and emphasizing national discourse, and protecting diversity and social cohesion," said the Deputy Speaker's media office in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
Al-Atroushi commended "the efforts of the Iraqi Media Network, with its satellite channels, news agencies, and all its communication platforms, in professionally disseminating information and news, and keeping pace with developments on the political scene and events in the region and the world,” affirming his support for this institution and its ability “to continue its work and humanitarian mission of guidance and education."
In turn, Hammadi expressed his “happiness with this meeting and the discussion of the most important topics and issues with the Council’s leadership, which relate to updating and developing work mechanisms, investing in cooperation, supporting the work of state institutions, and efforts aimed at promoting stability and prosperity in the country.”
