Trump made the statement during a Monday phone interview with Fox News' John Roberts. He said he has not made a final decision on restarting the project.
Trump told Fox News, followed up by the Iraqi News Agency - INA, "I have not made a final decision on restarting the Project Freedom."
“I am considering renewing a short-lived 'Project Freedom' but this time with an expanded scope beyond just escorting vessels through the Strait of Hormuz,” he added.
