National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji met on Monday with members of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee to discuss the latest political and security developments at the regional and international levels.
A statement issued by the National Security Advisor's media office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), indicated that "National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji received members of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee in the Iraqi Council of Representatives, namely MPs Shirwan Jamal Agha al-Dubardani, Ahmed Karim al-Dalfi, Dana Abdul Ghaffar, and Avista Mam Yahya."
According to the statement, Al-Araji reviewed with the members of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee the latest political and security developments at the regional and international levels. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of continued coordination between the committee and the National Security Advisory, in order to enhance the work of the military and security system, to carry out its duties in preserving the security of the citizen and the state.
