U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday that the ceasefire agreement with Iran remains in effect.
Speaking to ABC News, Trump said that retaliatory strikes against Iranian targets following Iran’s attacks were “only a light slap,” adding that the ceasefire “continues and remains in place.”
He added that three “world-class” U.S. destroyers successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz “under fire,” saying the vessels sustained no damage, while Iranian attackers suffered significant losses.
