Iran's Mehr News Agency reported on Thursday that new explosions were heard in the southern Iranian cities of Minab and Bandar Abbas.
The agency said explosions had been heard in both cities.
Earlier, Fox News cited a U.S. official as saying that the U.S. military had carried out strikes targeting Iran's Qeshm port and the city of Bandar Abbas, adding that the operation did not represent a resumption of war.
