Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization said on Wednesday it was ready to provide maritime, technical and health services to all vessels operating in the Strait of Hormuz and regional waters.
The organization said in a statement carried by Iran's IRNA news agency that, in consideration of the conditions facing seafarers and to preserve maritime safety and navigability, all ship captains and owners could benefit from general maritime services, including supplies and fuel, as well as health and medical services and permitted maintenance materials.
It added that ship captains and owners seeking such services could contact the Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) centres of the nearest Iranian port or their local representatives via VHF channel 16 to communicate their needs.
