Pakistani Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar affirmed on Tuesday that his country's goal as a mediator is to persuade Iran and the United States to reach a peace agreement.
Dar stated in press remarks, which were monitored by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Pakistan's goal as a mediator is to persuade Iran and the United States to reach a peace agreement, which is what the region and the world need."
"We are confident of making significant progress in the negotiations, and we have exerted efforts to reach a ceasefire and initiate dialogue," Dar added.
"We have made efforts to prevent attacks on the Gulf states, and we have condemned the attacks they have suffered," he confirmed.
