Iran’s Parliamentary National Security Committee said that any U.S. intervention in the Strait of Hormuz would be considered a violation of the ceasefire agreement.

Ibrahim Azizi, head of the committee, said in a press statement that “the management of the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf will not be subject to what he described as misleading posts issued by U.S. President Donald Trump.”

He added that “any American interference in the new maritime order in the Strait of Hormuz will be considered a violation of the ceasefire agreement,” stressing that “Iran will deal with such a move seriously.”

Azizi also noted that “scenarios based on mutual accusations are no longer convincing to anyone.”
