Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Sunday denied holding discussions with the United States on mine-clearing operations in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said in press remarks followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “Iran has not discussed any joint mine-clearing operation in the Strait of Hormuz with the United States,” noting that “such reports are purely media fabrication.”
He added that “our proposals to Washington do not include any such provision.”
