President Nizar Amidi and the Secretary-General of Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, emphasized on Sunday the importance of unifying national positions and coordinating among political forces to preserve stability and safeguard state sovereignty.
The Presidential Media Office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "President Nizar Amidi met today in Baghdad with the Secretary-General of Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali."
"The President congratulated Sheikh al-Khazali and the leadership and members of Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq on the 23rd anniversary of the movement's founding. They also discussed the overall political situation in the country, as well as the regional situation, stressing the importance of unifying national positions and continuing coordination among political forces to preserve stability and safeguard state sovereignty."
"The meeting addressed consultations on forming the next government, and the need to proceed with selecting an effective and cohesive cabinet that has the ability to address economic and service challenges, and contributes to meeting citizens' aspirations and improving the level of services."
